Hello I’m Ryan

Welcome to WhealFood. This blog relates to where I have found myself currently after 37 years of loving food. I spent years travelling around the world, eating, cooking and adventuring forming very fond memories which mostly revolved around food. Looking back, the most amazing food experiences involved eating, cooking and enjoying the local food of that area. This is something that I feel is being overlooked, with the increased supply of worldly foods we are starting to somewhat neglect the food and ingredients that we have on our doorsep. I believe that many traditional dishes of the future are to be created using just the produce around us, dishes that use worldly inspiration but are created with local ingredients. This idea gives me an inner glow as weirdly it enables me to start on another adventure, one that doesn't mean that I have to travel the world but allows me to adventure locally, to get to know the area that i'm living in more intimately, an adventure that helps forms more amazing memories but is based around where I live.
